Naila Media announces the second season of Beyond the Veil series, which is available from June 7, 2024 on Amazon Prime Video and can be streamed across Sub-Saharan Africa, USA, Canada, United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Australia-English speaking territories.
Beyond The Veil has been well received for its represent of Northern Nigerian culture on a global scale. Data from Prime Video and Flix Patrol reveal that the show spent 169 days in the Top 10 in 18 countries, enthralling audiences with authentic storytelling and credible characters.
Season Two begins with Na’Ima (Jemima Osunde) recovering from the accident captured in the previous installment. With the support of her friends Badriya (Norah Ego) and Hanifa (Maryam Booth), she prioritizes her mental and physical therapy while also facing new challenges such as her growing romance with Matthew (Vine Olugu).
Badriya lives a double life, her struggle for survival in an abusive relationship conflicting with her social media and public persona. Hanifa, while being pregnant, carries the burden of financial strain caused by Ahmadu’s failed business venture. Following the demise of Bappa, Zizi (Ame Aiyejina) resigns from her job as ADC to the minister and maintains a low profile.
Beyond The Veil is created by Sifa Asani Gowon and Nadine Ibrahim who is also director and co-executive producer. The production team also includes producer Folawewo Aiyegbusi; writers Sifa Asani Gowon and Brenda Garuba Ogbuka; and executive producers Bilal Ibrahim, Nabil Zeitoun, Fareed Zeitoun and Ishaya Bako.
